ALL SUMMIT BID WINNERS - SCOTCHEER = JAZZ, FUTURE CHEER = POM, LYRICAL & HIPHOP

TLC Crush are incredibly excited to be travelling to Portugal this June to compete internationally with four Allstar dance teams across all four styles — Pom, Hip Hop, Jazz and Lyrical. With 19 dancers attending, this is a huge achievement for our programme and a moment the athletes have worked incredibly hard towards throughout the season.

To qualify for this event, teams were required to earn competition bids. Last season, our Pom, Hip Hop and Lyrical teams each secured bids at the Future Cheer Glasgow event in Glasgow. Determined to take a fourth team to Portugal, we then created a brand new Jazz team this season with the goal of earning another bid — and in January, we successfully secured our final bid at SCOTCHEER Dundee.

This season has been one of our strongest yet, with athletes and coaches working tirelessly to create what we believe are our best routines and teams so far. Alongside weekly routine and performance development classes, dancers also attend additional technique and conditioning sessions to continue building strength, precision, confidence and performance quality ahead of the competition. At the beginning of the season, we were thrilled to work with the talented team at Major Edge Choreography, who created our Hip Hop and Lyrical routines. Our Pom and Jazz routines have been choreographed in-house by coach Brodie, showcasing the creativity, passion and dedication within our own programme.

Alongside training, the team are also fundraising to help support travel and competition costs for Portugal. Upcoming fundraising events include a bag pack and tombola at Tesco Inshes on 16th and 17th May, and the team are currently looking for tombola prize donations from local businesses and supporters. Every contribution and show of support helps our dancers get one step closer to representing Inverness on the international stage.

We are so proud of everything these athletes have achieved this season and cannot wait to see TLC Crush represent Scotland in Portugal this summer.
