Attendance Expectations
All athletes are expected to attend every scheduled class and training session. Skills, routines, timing, safety, and team success depend on regular, consistent practice. Missing training impacts not just the individual athlete, but the entire team.
We are enforcing a 3-strike attendance rule from now until July.(this includes technique & tumble classes)
All coaches will be keeping a formal attendance register
Any athlete who misses more than 3 classes during this period will:
Not be permitted to take part in the show
Not be allowed to audition for travel teams
Potentially taken out of their team for the following competition
Not be considered for elite team placement in the upcoming season
Will not take part in any Guest Camps.
These standards are non-negotiable and apply to all athletes equally.
Illness, Injury & Holidays
We do understand that life happens — holidays are planned and illness can occur. However, we need clarity and consistency.
Sickness absence is defined as:Vomiting and/or diarrhoea only
General tiredness, minor colds, or “not feeling great” do not qualify as excused absences
Injured athletes are still required to attend class, sit out physically, observe, and take mental notes of changes, choreography, and corrections
This is part of developing elite athlete mindset and accountability.
Communication is Essential
If your child must be absent, parents or athletes must message the team group chat before class. Lack of communication will be recorded as an unexcused absence.
Parent Support
We are asking for full parent support during this crucial period. High standards only work when athletes, coaches, and families are aligned. Please work with us to ensure your athlete is giving themselves — and their team — the best possible chance to succeed.
If you have any questions or concerns, please message the TLC business page to arrange a meeting with the TLC Head Coach.
